Description

• Tycho Brahe (Knudstrup 1546 - Prague 1601), Danish astronomer. From 1600 until his death in 1601, Brahe was assisted by Johannes Kepler, who would later use Tycho's astronomical information to develop his own theories of astronomy (Wikipedia).
• Jost Bürgi (Lichtensteig, Switzerland 1552 - Kassel 1632), Swiss clockmaker, a maker of astronomical instruments and a mathematician (Wikipedia).
• Nicolaus Copernicus (Mikołaj Kopernik) (Toruń (Thorn) 1473- Frombork (Frauenburg) 1543), Polish astronomer and the first person to formulate a comprehensive heliocentric cosmology which displaced the Earth from the center of the universe (Wikipedia).
• Michael Maestlin (Göppingen 1550 - Tübingen 1631), German astronomer and mathematician, the mentor of Johannes Kepler (Wikipedia).
