Description

On the façade of the Johanneum are portrait medallions of Duke Henry IV the Pious (Heinrich der Fromme), the electors Moritz, Augustus and Christian I and Johann Friedrich Böttger (the only one photographed). On the Augustusstraße side the portrait of Johann Friedrich Böttger above a statue of Elector Christian I in a niche and a relief portrait of Augustus II the Strong.
