Description

A bronze statue of Hygeia stands in the center of a bronze basin. She holds up a little shell, which is inclined so that during operation of the fountain, the overflowing water falls into the fountain bowl. At the feet of the goddess is a dragon that symbolizes the defeated cholera.

Around the central basin around sit six bronzes illustrating the benefits and use of water:
