Description

Baroque fountain with a stone statue of the winged fame holding a trumpet, and with a shield with a relief of 'Der Liebe Augustin' (see his statue).

On the base are sitting four putti with dolphins spouting water in the lower basin.

Inscription(s)

Several inscriptions which are difficult to read or not readabla at all. In one of them the year MDCCCXXIII (1723) is readable, in another the name Jacob Weitz, who was mayor of Gotha 1668-1685 and died in 1723 (Wikipedia).
