Description

20 ft/6 meter tall granite obelisk with at the foot three brass tablets, one with names, the other two with a relief. The obelisk was made by Archibald Brown of Aberdeen. It was unveiled on 7 June 1905 by Lieut. General Sir Henry M. Leslie Rundle.

Patriotism: Seated female warrior with sword and shield with a quote from Horace's Odes: dulce et decorum est pro patria mori (It is sweet and proper to die for one's country).

Fame: Seated female with a scroll with the text non sine gloria militastis (not without glory we have served) and in the background a banner with the word FAME.
