Commemorative plaque with portrait relief and text. It is mounted on the wall of the museum building.

Eekelers was and founder and dean of the 'Club der XII', a gentleman's society of arts and sciences (1871-1933), refounded in 1950 at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Antwerp.
