Beschrijving / Description

Standbeeld van Anna Cornelia Teysen, bijgenaamd Moeder Kee, uitbaatster van de herberg 'de Cambuus' in het centrale deel van de Kalmthoutse Heide, een toeristische trekpleister waar tal van kunstenaars kwamen logeren, en sommigen kochten nadien een buitenverblijf in Kalmthout. Moeder Kee staat daarmee symbool voor de ontwikkeling van Heide.
Haar jurk wordt omgeven door bladloze takken en dennenappels.

Statue of Anna Cornelia Teysen, known as Moeder Kee, who ran the inn ‘De Cambuus’ in the central part of the Kalmthoutse Heide, a tourist attraction where numerous artists came to stay, some of whom subsequently bought a country retreat in Kalmthout. Moeder Kee thus symbolises the development of the Heide.
Her dress is surrounded by bare branches and pine cones.
