Standbeeld van een vrouw met een duif op haar hoofd. In haar hand houdt ze een stapeltje brieven, en verder zijn flesje met dop en een schaar te zien. Haar onderlichaam wordt omgeven door bladerloze takken. Op de website verklaart de gemeente het beeld: "Bedoeling was een vrouw af te beelden die enerzijds moed en vastberadenheid uitstraalt en anderzijds ook waakzaam is. Terwijl ze flink doorstapt, kijkt ze achterom om te checken of niemand haar in de gaten houdt. Ze houdt een bundeltje brieven half verborgen in haar hand. Op haar hoofd staat een duif, hét vredessymbool bij uitstek. Op die manier is het een vredesmonument, geen oorlogsmonument".

On its website, the council explains the statue: "The intention was to depict a woman who, on the one hand, radiates courage and determination and, on the other, is also vigilant. As she strides purposefully forward, she looks back to check that no one is watching her. She holds a bundle of letters half-hidden in her hand. On her head sits a dove, the ultimate symbol of peace. In this way, it is a peace monument, not a war monument."
