Beschrijving / Description

Sculptuur van drie monniken (of liever gezegd: hun lege pijen!) met de ruggen tegen elkaar.
Het beeld staat voor de Monnikenhof, dat in de 15de eeuw gesticht werd toebehoorde aan de heren en abten van de Sint-Michielsabdij van Antwerpen. Thans is het Monnikenhof een woon- en verzorgingscentrum.

Sculpture of three monks (or rather, their empty robes!) with their backs to one another.
The statue stands in front of the Monnikenhof (Monks' Court), which was founded in the 15th century and belonged to the lords and abbots of St Michael’s Abbey in Antwerp. Today, the Monnikenhof is a residential and care centre.
