In 2020 organiseerde de dienst Toerisme en Stadspromotie van Dendermonde het street-art project Paardenkracht, waarmee ze een alternatief wilde bieden voor de vele evenementen die door de coronacrisis niet konden plaatsvinden. Geïnspireerd door het Ros Beiaard, de trots van Dendermonde, koos men om op elf plaatsen in de stad reusachtige paardenhoofden te plaatsen, ontworpen Kevin Leybaert en Bram Buytaert. door die versierd waren door verschillende kunstenaars, zowel 'gevestigde' kunstenaars als plaatselijk jong talent. Het was oorspronkelijk de bedoeling dat de paardenhoofden zouden blijven staan tot mei 2021, maar in april 2025 hebben we er nog twee gezien:
In 2020, Dendermonde's Tourism and City Promotion Department organised the street-art project Paardenkracht (horse power), with which it wanted to offer an alternative to the many events that could not take place due to the corona crisis. Inspired by the Horse Bayard, the pride of Dendermonde, they chose to place at 11 locations in the city giant horse heads, designed Kevin Leybaert and Bram Buytaert and decorated by various artists, both ‘established’ artists and local young talent. It was originally planned that the horse heads would remain in place until May 2021, but in April 2025 we saw two still standing.
