Beschrijving / Description

Beeld van een mensfiguur (Don Quichot) op een kar. Het is hoofdzakelijk gemaakt van hout en voor een klein gedeelte van ijzer. De wielen zijn gerecycleerd materiaal van een oude boerenkar en van een kruiwagen die vroeger dienst deed in de steenbakkerijen van Boom.

Sculpture of a human figure (Don Quixote) on a cart. It is mainly made of wood, with a small part made of iron. The wheels are made from recycled materials from an old farm cart and a wheelbarrow that was once used in the brickworks in Boom.

Art in the Street
Art in the Street is a cultural project in Zwijndrecht and Burcht in the province of East Flanders. Between 1991 and 2012, the municipality of Zwijndrecht, in collaboration with the Cultural Council, acquired around twenty works of art for the ‘Art in the Street’ project. The works are displayed in public spaces and are made from materials including polyester, bronze, wood, blue stone, brick and Corten steel.
In 2025, the municipality of Zwijndrecht merged with Beveren and Kruibeke.
