Description

Commemorative plaque with a sculpted figure of a girl.
Unlike most commemorative plaques, this does not portray the poet himself. Instead, Jan Hána chose an idealized female figure, probably conceived as a muse symbolizing poetry or artistic inspiration. Later, Hána created virtually the same figure as a freestanding sculpture 79 cm high, which he named Clio..
