Statues - Hither & Thither

 

Description

The Church of the Holy Guardian Angels was built in the 1730s, but it was extensively remodelled in 1893–94, when the statues were presumably installed.
On the façade of the church , three statues can be seen in niches. In the gable, there is a statue of a guardian angel with a child; to the right of the entrance, a statue of the Virgin and Child; and to the left, a statue of Christ (probably as Salvator Mundi or Christ bestowing his blessing).
