Description

Sculpture of three Berlin originals from the 19th century around a signpost with the signs for Köpenick, Pankow and Mitte. The main character is Nante, a casual worker, based at the corner of Königstraße and Neue Friedrichstraße - not far from the Eulner distillery, where he used to stop off. Waiting on the street corner for odd jobs, he commented on what was happening around him with a joke that made him a Berlin original.
Behind him is a cobbler's boy with several boots. Surrounded by baskets filled with flowers, sits a flower woman, her right hand stretched forward in an offering.
