Zur Erinnerung an Wilhelm I., König von Preussen und Deutscher Kaiser, wurde in den Jahren 1891-1895 unter der Regierung Kaiser Wilhelm aus Spenden des ganzen deutschen Volkes die erste Kaiser-Wilhelm- gedächtnis-kirche erbaut. Während des 2. Weltkrieges - in der Nacht zum 23. November 1943 - wurde sie beim Luftangriff zerstört. Der Turm der alten Kirche soll an das Gericht Gottes erinnern, das in den Jahren des Krieges über under Volk hereinbracht. |
In memory of William I, King of Prussia and German Emperor was, in the years 1891-1895, under the government of Kaiser Wilhelm, with donations from the entire German people, the first Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial church built. During World War II - on the night of 23 November 1943 - it was destroyed in an air raid. The tower of the old church is meant to commemorate the judgment of God that came upon our people during the years of war. |
