Erzengel, der Feldherr der Armee Gottes. Er wird oft dargestellt, wie er Satan – der als Drache dargestellt wird – tötet, und er trägt ein Schild mit der Aufschrift quis ut deus (Wer ist wie Gott?, eine wörtliche Übersetzung des Namens Michael).

Beschreibung / Description

Statue of St. Michael with a flaming sword and shield with motto "QUIS UT DEUS", standing on the devil. Under the statue a shield with text, signed Johann Jacob Metzger, 1765.
