Beschreibung / Description

Drei Büsten von Widerstandskämpfer aus Bamberg: der damalige Rechtsanwalt und Vorstandsmitglied katholischer Vereine, Hans Wölfel, der als Regimekritiker denunziert und am 3. Juli 1944 hingerichtet wurde, der jüdische Sozialisten und Rechtsreferendar Willy Aron, der bereits 1933 im Konzentrationslager Dachau zu Tode geprügelt wurde, sowie der Offizier der Wehrmacht, Claus Schenk, Graf von Stauffenberg, der mit dem Attentat auf Hitler am 20. Juli 1944 der Unmenschlichkeit ein Ende setzen wollte und noch in derselben Nacht im Innenhof des Bendlerblocks in Berlin durch Schüsse ums Leben kam.

Three busts of resistance fighters from Bamberg: the then lawyer and board member of Catholic associations, Hans Wölfel, who was denounced as a critic of the regime and executed on 3 July 1944, the Jewish socialist and trainee lawyer Willy Aron, who was beaten to death at Dachau concentration camp as early as 1933, and the Wehrmacht officer, Claus Schenk, Count von Stauffenberg, who sought to put an end to the inhumanity through the assassination attempt on Hitler on 20 July 1944 and was shot dead that very same night in the courtyard of the Bendlerblock in Berlin.
