Kalvarienberg oder Golgatha war der Ort an dem die Kreuzigung Jesu stattfand. In der Bildhauerkunst ist ein Kalvarienberg ein Kruzifix mit zwei oder mehr nebeneinander stehenden Statuen.

Beschreibung / Description

Kalvarienbergszene mit einem Kruzifix, Maria Magdalena und Johannes vor der Fassade der Michaelskapelle. Am Fuße des Kreuzes ist die Jahreszahl 1809 zu sehen.
In der Nische der Kapelle befindet sich eine Statue eines betenden Engels.

A Calvary scene featuring a crucifix, Mary Magdalene and John, set against the façade of St Michael’s Chapel. The year 1809 is inscribed at the foot of the cross. In the corner niche of the chapel is a statue of a praying angel.
