Beschreibung / Description

Skulptur aus Diabas, die einen liegenden (toten) Mann auf einem rauen Untergrund darstellt. Es handelt sich um ein Opfer-Mahnmal für die Kriegsopfer des Zweiten Weltkriegs. Das Mahnmal wurde am 15. November 1959, dem damaligen Volkstrauertag, auf Wunsch des VdK Wetzlar errichtet.

A diabase sculpture of a reclining (dead) man on a rough surface. It is a memorial to the victims of the Second World War. The memorial was erected on 15 November 1959, which was then National Day of Remembrance, at the request of the VdK Wetzlar.
