Bebop

Otto Almstadt & Moritz Bormann
2006

Description

Scupture of a saxophonist with a body and saxophon of steel (made by Bormann) and a concrete head (made by Almstadt), made in 2006. The Bebop was installed in 2014 - at the start of the anniversary year "1200 Years Diocese and City of Hildesheim" - in the Bernwardstraße near the train station to receive the guests "musically". It is dedicated to Peter Kunold and "Bum" Krüger, who made outstanding contributions to jazz in Hildesheim. Since 1 December 2020 on the present location in front of the music school.
