Description

The bronze 'Bride's Door' depict the parable of the wise and foolish virgins"(Matthew 25.1-13). It shows the five foolish women in the lower field, who have become drowsy or are waiting for the Lord's arrival to provide new oil - above them are the five wise women with their lamps, who are protecting the flame of oil. The arched field above shows Christ as the 'Lamb of God' with the cross as a sign of victory in the circle of the twelve gates of the Heavenly Jerusalem (Revelation 21:1-5).
