Beschreibung / Description

Im Rahmen des BerkelKunst-Projekts „Von der Quelle bis zur Mündung“ stellte African Art Tiripo vom 3. bis 26. September 2025 Steinskulpturen aus Simbabwe in den Berkel-Städten Billerbeck, Coesfeld, Gescher, Stadtlohn, Vreden, Eibergen, Borculo, Lochem und Zutphen auf.
In jeder Stadt stand eine Gruppe von drei Skulpturen. Einige davon blieben länger stehen und wurden von uns im April und Mai 2026 fotografiert (siehe auch Coesfeld, Vreden und Lochem).

Drei dieser Skulpturen stehen nun (April 2026) in Stadtlohn am Ufer der Berkel.

Rainbird Family 2 (Regenvogel Familie) von Panashe Wadawareva.
Mother & Child Rainbirds (Mutter und Kind Regenvögel) von Tendai Rukodzi.

Die beiden Skulpturen von Rukodzi standen im September 2025 ebenfalls in Stadtlohn, die Skulptur von Wadawareva stand damals in Gescher.

As part of the BerkelKunst project ‘From Source to Mouth’, African Art Tiripo installed stone sculptures from Zimbabwe in the Berkel towns of Billerbeck, Coesfeld, Gescher, Stadtlohn, Vreden, Eibergen, Borculo, Lochem and Zutphen from 3 to 26 September 2025.
In each town there was a group of three sculptures. Some of them remained in place for longer and were photographed by us in April and May 2026 (see also Coesfeld, Vreden and Lochem).
Three of these sculptures are now (April 2026) on display in Stadtlohn on the banks of the Berkel:

Both of Rukodzi’s sculptures were also on display in Stadtlohn in September 2025; Wadawareva’s sculpture was on display in Gescher at that time.
