Der steinerne Thron, als Requisite und Symbol für das Theater, ist für Kinder gedacht, die, indem sie darauf klettern und damit spielen, unbewusst zu Regisseuren ihrer eigenen Aufführung werden können.
Ursprünglich stand der Thron an der Wand der Bank und wurde später als freistehendes Objekt versetzt, an dem ein Rahmen aus Cortenstahl angebracht wurde.
The stone throne, serving as both a prop and a symbol of the theatre, is designed for children, who, by climbing on it and playing with it, can unconsciously become directors of their own performance.
Originally, the throne stood against the wall of the bank, and was later moved to stand free-standing, with a Corten steel frame added to it.
1998 schafften zahlreiche Engagierte, Unternehmer, Freunde und Förderer der Stadt Billerbeck eine künstlerische Verbindung vom Rathaus zur Freilichtbühne: Die 'Theatermeile'. Diese Meile besteht aus einem Stadtrelief und 14 künstlerischen Objekten, Plastiken und Skulpturen von Darstellungen aus der Theaterwelt.
The Theatre Mile in Billerbeck
In 1998, a large number of committed individuals, entrepreneurs, friends and supporters of the town of Billerbeck created an artistic link between the town hall and the open-air stage: the 'Theatre Mile'. This mile consists of a town relief and 14 artistic objects, sculptures and statues depicting scenes from the world of theatre.
