Statues - Hither & Thither

 

Beschreibung / Description

Im Rahmen des BerkelKunst-Projekts „Von der Quelle bis zur Mündung“ stellte African Art Tiripo vom 3. bis 26. September 2025 Steinskulpturen aus Simbabwe in den Berkel-Städten Billerbeck, Coesfeld, Gescher, Stadtlohn, Vreden, Eibergen, Borculo, Lochem und Zutphen auf.
In jeder Stadt stand eine Gruppe von drei Skulpturen. Einige davon blieben länger stehen und wurden von uns im April und Mai 2026 fotografiert (siehe auch Stadtlohn, Vreden und Lochem).

Drei dieser Skulpturen von Tendai Rukodzi stehen nun (April 2026) in Coesfeld in der Nähe des Walkenbrückentors.

1. Couple of Rainbirds (Ein paar Regenvögel).
2. Dancing for you (Für dich tanzen).
3. Easy Breathing - Abstract 1 (Leichtes Atmen - Abstrakt 1).

As part of the BerkelKunst project ‘From Source to Mouth’, African Art Tiripo installed stone sculptures from Zimbabwe in the Berkel towns of Billerbeck, Coesfeld, Gescher, Stadtlohn, Vreden, Eibergen, Borculo, Lochem and Zutphen from 3 to 26 September 2025.
In each town there was a group of three sculptures. Some of them remained in place for longer and were photographed by us in April and May 2026 (see also Stadtlohn, Vreden and Lochem).
Three of these sculptures by Tendai Rudodzi are now (April 2026) on display in Coesfeld near the Walkenbrückentor:
