Skulptur von zwei Männern, die an einem Stab Würste auf ihren Schultern tragen. Der vordere Mann hält außerdem eine Wurst an einer Gabel. Am Stab hinter dem hinteren Mann hängt eine Flasche Schnaps.

BRAUCHTUM VERBINDET in alten nachbarschaftsstatuten wurde festgehalten am morgen des fastnachtstages zogen die männer von haus zu haus, um mettwurst aufzuholen, die abends im fastnachtshaus gebraten und gemeinsam verzehrt wurde. privatinitiative sowie zahlreiche spender machten es möglich, dass diese bronzeplastik erstellt und am 11.11.1995 unter grosser beteiligung der gesamten bevölkerung feierlich enthüllt werden konnte. |
TRADITION BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER As recorded in old neighbourhood statutes on the morning of Shrove Tuesday, the men went from house to house to collect Mettwurst, which was fried in the Shrove Tuesday hall that evening and eaten together. A private initiative and numerous donors made it possible for this bronze sculpture to be created and unveiled on 11.11.1995 in a ceremony attended by the entire community. |
