Description

Fountain with seven bronze, water-spouting heads. The fountain recalls the once-present 'head' of the society, consisting of a king and six councilors, on the historic meeting place of the Klever Gecken-Gesellschaft. The uniform column height illustrates the commonality of the members involved. On the other hand, the heads of different high-ranking figures point to a possible status of the members in the social order.

Gesellschaft Schwanenfunken
Kleve e.V. und mit
finanzieller Unterstützung
der Sparkasse Kleve

zur Erinnerung an die erste
europäische Narrengesellschaft,
die im Jahre 1381 in Kleve
' gegründet wurde, errichtet.

Einweihung: 10.11.2001
