Statues - Hither & Thither

 

Description

The three sculptors and graphic artists Harnischmacher, Kunen and Maruscheck designed sculptures with the participation of Gladbeck citizens in a workshop on the topic "Stone Age in memory of the earth". Four sculptures made of tuffstone, symbolizing the four phases of development, were created in the process. They bear painted, scratched and engraved signs, ornaments and relief-like symbols, signs and forms, as they are known from prehistoric art. They are reminiscent of megalithic tombs and their treatment of rock drawings.
