Beschreibung / Description

Gothic Marian column with a statue of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, , standing on a snake. On the sides of the column are three saints' statues.

St. Bonifatius / St. Boniface (Wessex c. 672 - Dokkum 754), the Apostle of the Germans, missionary in the Frankish Empire; patron saint of Germany and the first archbishop of Mainz. He was martyred in Frisia in 754.

St. Laurentius / St. Lawrence (c. 225 - 258), one of the seven deacons of ancient Rome who were martyred during the persecution of Valerian. Usually holding a gridiron and wearing a dalmatic (Wikipedia).
