Beschreibung / Description

The chapel was built in 1864 in Wallerfangen and in 1879 demolished and rebuilt in 1882 at the present place, to serve as a chapel for the hospital founded by Eugen von Boch; the crypt is uses as family burial place.
Two statues flanking the entrance portal of the Chapel.

St. Joseph the husband of the Virgin Mary and the earthly father of Jesus Christ (in distinction to God, his "heavenly father") (Wikipedia).

St. Matthias the apostle chosen by the remaining eleven apostles to replace Judas Iscariot. Protector of carpenters, butchers and smiths. His attribute is a halberd, signifying the way in which he died (Wikipedia).
