Beschreibung / Description

The monument consists of a cuboid decorated in the classicist style. On the south side is a medallion created by J. G. Schadow with the portrait of Müller, below which is the inscription, further inscriptions are on the east and west side. On the north side is a relief of a lyra and a wreath of oak leaves.
The monument was created according to a design by the Tischbein by the building director August Wilhelm Kanne (Wolkenstein 1783 - Leipzig 1827) and inaugurated in 1819.
