Annotation
Not far from Punta Rucia, you can visit the national park of La Isabela, known as the first city in the Americas. It was founded by Columbus in 1493.
There is almost nothing left. A few ruins, the skeleton of a Spanish colon. But the museum is nice (artifacts from 15th c.).
