Monumento Encuentro entre dos mundos (Monument "The meeting of Two Worlds")
the sculpture, made in granite, consists of five groups representing Galicia, America, the emigration and the return, placed around a great sphere symbolizing the world, it contains earth samples brought from the 22 Latin American countries, deposited by its ambassadors the inauguration day.
The monument is 9 meters width and 4.5 meters height.

Annotation
The monument was inaugurated by prince Felipe at the occasion of the fifth centennial of the arrival of Pinzón at Baiona on 1 March 1993. The monument is located at the foot of the wall of Monte Boi near the place where the first native American died in the Old Continent was buried.
