Description

Sandstone tympanum and statues at the south portal of the Saint-George Church.

The door is flanked by statues of Saint George (left, slaying the dragon) and Saint Michael (right, with sword and scales, and the devil under his foot).
The tympanum shows the Ascension.
In the archivolt are six smaller figures:
Left, bottom to top:
- Resurrection of the widow's son (Luke 7:11-17)
- The Samaritan woman at the well (John 4:1-26)
- Jesus blessing the children (Mark 10:13-16)
Right, bottom to top:
- Multiplication of the Loaves (John 6:1-15)
- The Tribute Money (Matthew 17:24-27)
- Jesus healing the blind (Mark 10:46-52; John 9:1-12)

Annotation

Originally dating from the 14th century, destroyed at the Revolion and reconstructed in 1847 by Emile Sichler.
