Description

Founten of 8 x 6 meters showing the Garonne, as a heroic and triumphant young woman, supporting the rock from which the source streams. The Ariège, a slender girl, is seated at her feet, holding a jug.

Annotation

Formerly at the Jardin des Plantes, since 1982 on the present location.

Sculptor

Alexandre Laporte (1851-1904), French sculptor.
