Annotation

The bust was placed in 1907 in a fountain, which dated from 1884. In 1925 the fountain was demolished to make place for a World War Monument, but the bust and its pedestal were placed in the Parc de la Gare.

Sculptor

Aimé-Charles Irvoy (Vendôme, Loir-et-Cher 1824 - Grenoble 1898), French sculptor (Wikipedia).
