Description

Statue of Saint-Exupéry seated and the Little Prince standing behind him on the top of a white marble column of over 5 m high. On the basis are quotations from Terre des hommes (1939, être homme...) and Le Petit Prince (1943, une étoile ...) and and on the base the last page of Le Petit Prince (according to the description, we only saw a star at the base).

The statue is unveiled on 29 June 2000, the 100th anniversary of the writer's birth, and is close to his birth house in the Rue de Saint-Exupéry (the street got this name in 2005).

une étoile luisait déjà et je la contemplais on ne voit bien qu'avec le coeur l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux

realise a l'initiative de franck bejat ce monument a ete offert a la ville de lyon le 22 juin 2000 par le comite saint ex 2000
