Description

Bronze bust of Marianne, symbol of France, on a column. There are no inscriptions. Before 1923 there was a statue of a human figure with a flag on the column.

On the 'Liste des œuvres d'art de l'Ain' the monument is called 'Monument à Carnot', a postcard describes it as 'Monument de la Liberté, Buste de la République, érigé en 1923'.
