Description

Bust in a small niche.
The inscription comes from the English translation of Jung's autobiographical Memories, Dreams, Reflections. Jung never visited Liverpool, but in his book he recounts a dream he had experienced many years earlier, in which he found himself in the city on a cold and rainy winter's night with a group of Swiss friends (see further Cavanagh's book).

The present plaster bust replaces a 1987 bust by the sculptor Laurence Sidorczuk.
