Æthelflæd, Lady of the Mercians (d. 918), daughter of Alfred the Great, ruled Mercia from 911-918 (Wikipedia).
and her nephew Æthelstan (c. 893/5 - 939), King of the Anglo-Saxons from 924 to 927 and King of the English from 927 to 939 (Wikipedia).

Description

Statue of Ethelfreda in Anglo-Saxon dress, she holds an unsheathed sword in her right hand, her left hand is resting around the shoulders of her nephew Athelstan (later King) on whom she gazes with obvious affection. He looks up at her, protected within the folds of her cloak. The statue stands on a 3 m high column.
