Kiltimagh - Coillte Mách / Anthony Raftery - Antaine Ó Raifteíri

Bronze statue of Antaine Ó Raifteíri in his worn travelling coat returning to Kiltimagh and stopping next to a Hawthorn bush. The tree, of corten welded steel and copper, is modelled from a Hawthorn at the sacred well "Tobar Chuimhine" in Kiltimagh. It is hollow inside but it still lives and bears fruit. It is a symbol of survival and has weathered the times just as Raifteíri did,
