Marble statue of Saffi on a high marble pedestal, with on the front an back reliefs in a medaillon surround by snakes and at the sides relief portraits of Antonio Fratti and Achille Cantoni. Directly underneath the statue are two coat-of-arms (front and back), the at the sides the texts DIO E POPOLO and PENSIERO E AZIONE.
The statue was destroyed in 1944, and an exact copy was made in 1961, funded by the industrialist Aldo Zambelli.
