Description

Renaissance- style minor basilica church. n 1515, the architect Baccio da Montelupo made the original designs for the present church, and these were completed by Bastiano Bertolani. The entrance portal of the marble faç'ade is flanked by niches containing statues (both statues have the dat MDCCX in the base).

San Paolino di Lucca / St. Paulinus of Antioch
believed to have been converted and sent by St. Peter, whom he met at Antioch, to Lucca, and became the first Bishop of Lucca (Wikipedia).

San Donato d'Arezzo / St. Donatus of Arezzo
the patron saint of Arezzo, and considered a bishop of the city (Wikipedia).
