Description
Two cats on top of the turrets of the house.
Annotation
This house was built in 1910 for a rich Latvian merchant, who was not accepted in the Big Guild. The merchant was offended, and put two cats on the roof of his building, with their tails turned to the building of the Big Guild. This showed clearly the owner's cynical relation to the Guild and its members. The action caused a big scandal, and by order of the city council the iron cats had to be turned to other side.
