In a niche shaped as a Greek temple a woman with a crenellated crown - allegorical figure for the town of Riga - is flanked by two school children. On the school's website the sculpture is described as a mother holding a boy and a girl.

The school is built 1883 after design of the architect Reinhold Schmeling.
