The Republic of the Bacon street. One of the districts in Riga (called the suburb of Latgale / “Latgales priekšpilsēta”) has developed of its own republic (from the historical processes), with its own peculiar appearance, unconstrained environment and with the interaction of different cultures. In the Maskavas forštate (part from the “suburb of Latgale” district) is a small street, that has been named “Bacon street” – bacon is very relevant for Latvian people. It is so short, that there aren’t buildings on it. It is almost like virtual reality and, probably, caries inwardly some special – mythological – key, which the authors of the installation has implemented in their works, which are distributed in “Latgales priekšpilsēta” district, int. al. Bacon street locality. The installations of the project: “For everybody, who has sacrificed their own time for the possession of the virtual reality” (Aigars Bikše); “The Empire”(Ginters Krumholcs), “Here’s no security cameras”(Kristaps Gulbis), “The Buda of the suburb”(Kirils Panteļējevs), “Stop-frame”(Elīna Poikāne).
