Antonio Inácio da Cruz (Grândola 1876 - 1955)
investigator, inventor, essayist, philosopher, ethnologist, musician and astronomer; wrote essays on astronomy, chemistry, and social sciences.
He and his sister Ana Luísa (1874-1945) left all their property to the Santa Casa da Misericórdia of Grândola.

Description

The monument consists of two elongated forms of white stone that unite in the upper part, each containing a bronze medallion with the portrait of the Da Cruz's, with their names and dates. The whole is on a round base, also of white stone, with the text "GRÂNDOLA AGRADECIDA 1968".
