Description

Marble bust of Franc Miklošič, sculpted by Kos in 1926, on a marble pedestal, sculpted by Peruzzi in 1908 for his bust of Emperor Franz Joseph. The monument for Emperor Franz Joseph was placed in 1908 in gratitude for the emperor's support after the earthquake of 1895. The pedestal flanked by two half eagles, and with in front a kneeling woman with the coat of arms of Ljubljana presenting a laurel wreath to the emperor.

On the back is a relief showing the victims of the earthquake.
