Description

Monument consisting of 28 Bartmann jugs, which are arranged in six columns of four jugs in a circle around a column of four larger jugs. The jugs on the outer columns are positioned so that the handles point inwards and the Bartmann face points outwards. On each jug belly is a round medallion or relief designed, which represents a typical Frechen trade, such as a tailor, baker, barber, blacksmith, potter, farmer, people in the inn and various scenes on the production of 'klüten' (brown coal).
